Personalize Your Text Messaging

With SnapDesk you can drag and drop custom properties into your messages. We call these custom fields and they are great for personalizing your messages.

Texting Customers?

Hi {{CustomerFirstName}}, Thanks for purchasing {{ProductName}}! We'd love to know what you think of it so far!

Texting with Team Members?

Hi {{FirstName}}, Just sending an update regarding {{AssignedProject}}! Looks like {{TeamName}} has rescheduled the meeting to {{meetingDate}}

Texting with Volunteers?

Hi {{FirstName}}, Thanks for signing up for {{SelectedEvent}}! We are happy to have you on board. If you have any questions reach out to {{EventCoordinator}} at {{EventCoordinatorEmail}} or {{EventCoordinatorPhone}}.

How does Personalization work?

First, you are going to create custom fields in your SnapDesk account. These will be stored on each of your contact's profiles and you can edit them for specific contacts.

A Custom field can have 1 of 3 types.

Text: type freely into the field


Select: limit the field to a dropdown of options


Date: select a date, great for birthdays, holidays, vacation times


Once you create a custom field you are going to edit the value of the field for each of your contacts. So, if you created a custom field for {{JobTitle}} you will now have to select the job title for each of your contacts.

Now that you have edited your contacts you can use any of these custom fields in your messaging.


You can also save your message as a template. This way you can re-use this message and send it to groups or other individuals and each recipient will have their custom field values dynamically added to the message.
